zucchini

Due to some wedding and honeymoon business in the prime garden-planting springtime, we were a little late on getting our garden in. We were a somewhat apprehensive, and not exactly sure how well our little veggies would do.
Our peas have been doing great - I have a handful every day when I go out to weed, and our green beans are blossoming nicely. Carrots and leeks shot up pretty quickly and will be ready shortly. All the plants are pleasantly surprising us.
But can you imagine my excitement when I went out to weed this morning and found these beauties? I LOVE Zuchinni, and there are a couple of these babies on every plant!

weekend getaway

We started off at Navajo Lake (east of Cedar City) and did some camping ....





Went through Cedar Breaks up to Brianhead for some serious mountain biking ... (Luke was less than amused)









Spent a couple of days in St George with the Larsens, then stopped at the Meadow Hot Springs on the way home ...









Best weekend in a long time.

We had the best trip - hung out with tons of family and friends, went to Lake Michigan, spent a day in Chicago .... I love the midwest.
