latest obsessions.

The Eels. I can't get enough of this music. I watched the movie Henry Poole Is Here, and this song is in it. It's been driving me crazy since last thursday.

listen

Luke always listens to NPR. At first I made fun of it, but then he went on trek last week (which sucked) and he left my car radio tuned to 90.1 KUER. I didn't change it all week, and have since fallen in love with National Public Radio. I love the BBC World News, I love Night Time Jazz, I love Talk of the Nation, All Things Considered, and I especially love the Saturday afternoons - This American Life and A Prarie Home Companion.

get into it

This boy.

He is the best. I married him 3 months ago, and it's been the best 3 months of my life. He's really smart and funny and the nicest boy. He would do anything for me, and he usually does. He teaches me tons of things about The Gospel, spark plugs, cooking, and nature. Plus lots of other things. And, he's introduced me to tons of really fun new friends that I've fallen in love with. And he has a really fantastic family, I couldn't ask for better in-laws.

Luke is pretty awesome, I really love him.

PS Luke, you rock my world.

update

Sometimes we have Great Danes come live with us that waiting to be adopted. For the last week or two we've had this guy: Drake.

He was so fun, Brok's temporary best friend, and really great dog.
Anyway, a nice lady and her "roommate", who live in Logan, decided that maybe they wanted to adopt him. So they met him and loved him and we took him to Logan to live with them. It was pretty exciting.
After dropping off Drake we swung over to Smithfield and grabbed the kiddos. I love that Steph and Mike are in Logan now - it's so easy just to head up for a day and hang out.

And in other news, we got callings yesterday.
We're both pretty excited, and a little nervous.
I was called to be a den mother. I'm nervous because I don't know what that means really. I'm heading straight to the distribution center ASAP to pick up a manual and probably some sort of uniform. That's what I'm the most excited for.

And Luke is the Young Men's PRESIDENT.

fish

I don't actually make dinner too often due to the fact that we're never really home, and there are only two of us ... but when I do, I like to make it good. I have to prove to Luke that I'm a good cook because he's a really good cook and I don't want to look bad. Usually I try fancy recipes I've found on the internet at work. I made this one the other night and it was pretty awesome.
