Okay, sometimes at work we get these little old ladies calling us to say that their grandson, "Chris", just called them from Canada and they're stuck there. The grandma usually seems a little confused and sad ... they tell us this story of how worried they are about "Chris" because he's a really good kid who just went on a senior trip with his friends to Canada. They're great kids, went to seminary, sang in the choir, went on a harmless trip to Canada ... then they were robbed. So this grandchild, not wanting to bother his own parents, calls Grandma. He explains the situation, asks for her to wire some cash so he can get home. Grandma does this, because she loves "Chris" and absolutely hates that he's in danger, and in Canada.
Grandma sends the money, then calls "Chris'" mom and dad to see if they've heard from him, is he okay, etc. They tell her that "Chris" is downstairs watching TV. They know nothing about this trip to Canada ... Grandma's been had.
It's usually 5 or 6 thousand dollars, which is a lot to a Grandma on a fixed income, waiting eagerly for her social security checks each month. It's one of the saddest things we deal with at work.

Fish's was really funny. I was laughing. I am sad for the grandmas though. What is this world coming to. So excited to see you this weekend. Savanna can't talk of anything else.
